VISION STATEMENT

We, the community of Ascension Catholic Church of Bastrop Texas, are united as

one family of faith with the Holy Roman Church. We are a Christ-centered parish,

with Mary as our spiritual mother and the Holy Spirit as our guide. We celebrate

the Liturgy of Word and Eucharist as it is the source and summit of our faith in

order to call all people to conversion.



MISSION STATEMENT

To proclaim the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ to all people in order to deepen their relationship and to call them into conversion.

To inspire a renewed conviction in the Eucharist as Jesus himself invites us to believe and to partake in his body and blood as food that satisfies our hunger for truth and freedom and that gives us eternal life.

To nurture and strengthen families as they face a modern world of many changes
by supporting their needs through education, sacramental preparation, and spiritual growth. With special care for our youth and young adults we will strive to integrate them fully into our community.

To be a welcoming community that addresses the dignity of all persons without regard to race, ethnicity, age, or disability. To reach out in charity and justice; providing healing for the alienated and hope to the non practicing.
